Ounces is an official qualifying location for USSA Steinholding. Our tournament winners will move on to compete for the State Championship Title to be held Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1pm at Oktoberfest NW.

OUNCES TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

Date: Friday, October 3rd from 5pm-7:30pm

  • Our tournament will consist of two brackets (Mens & Womens), with a winner determined in each category.

  • Competitors will compete in a qualifier round to determine which competitors move on to the championship round.

QUALIFYING ROUND TIMES: (must participate in 1)

  • 5:15pm

  • 5:30pm

  • 5:45pm

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND TIMES: (must qualify to participate)

  • 7pm: Women's Championship

  • 7:15pm Men's Championship

No purchase necessary to participate. Water-filled 1L Steins will be provided. (must be returned.)

QUALIFYING ROUND To qualify for the Championship Round, Competitors will need to participate in one qualifying round (select from one of three times at sign up; see times above.). During a Qualifying Round, competitors will prove they are worthy for the Championship by holding a water-filled 1L Stein for 2 minutes (Men) / 1.5 minutes (Women). Those competitors who are successful will move on to compete in the Championship!

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND: Those who qualify will move on the participate in the Championship Round with the Women's Championship taking place at 7pm, followed immediately by the Men's Championship at approx 7:15pm.

FAQ’s:

Q: Is registration required? A: Yes. Onsite registrations will be allowed based on available space. (tbd)

Q: How much does it cost? A: Nothing! It is FREE to participate.

Q: Will you provide the stein? A: Yes.

Q: Do I get to keep the stein? A: No. Steins need to be returned.

Q: What if I can’t make it to the State Championship — Can I still participate in the tournament? A: Yes. If the winner can not make it, we’ll identify an alternate.

Q: Are there separate brackets for Men’s vs Women’s Qualifying Rounds? A: No. Qualifiers are coed, based on time thresholds. (1.5 minutes for Women. 2 minutes for Men)

Q: Can I compete in the Championship if I don’t complete a Qualifier Round? A: No. You must participate in one of the qualifying rounds.

Q: What is the point of the qualifying round? A: Qualifying Rounds will help determine the top competitiors, making the Championship Round competitive and exciting!
